Inca Jungle Trek to Machu Picchu

The next day we will continue with the Inca jungle tour and this time we will walk through the jungle until we reach the town of Santa Teresa on the way we will be able to appreciate the flora and fauna as well as the traditions of the locals. This day will surely be the most remembered because we will visit the Inca citadel of Machu Picchu. According to the schedule of the Ticket to Machu Picchu that you have purchased, we will go to the bus station that will take us to the entrance to Machu Picchu, this journey lasts approximately 25 minutes. To enter the Inca citadel you will have to show your passport plus your entrance ticket if you are a foreign tourist and for national tourists, you must show your ID plus the entrance ticket. Remember that you can only enter an authorized tour guide and the maximum time in Machu Picchu is 4 hours.

At the end of the tour in Machu Picchu, you will have two options to return to Aguas Calientes, you can walk back or get on the bus again.
In Aguas Calientes, you will also have two ways to return to Cusco
First Option: You can take the return train from Aguas Calientes to Ollantaytambo and in Ollantaytambo, you must get on a minivan that will bring you back to Cusco. This route is the shortest but requires an expense for the cost of the train.

Second Option: You can take the road back from Aguas Calientes to Hidroelectrica and at Hidroelectrica you must take a minivan to Cusco. This way back is cheaper but requires a walk of 2 hours plus 6 hours in a minivan.
