Iquitos Tour 5 Days 4 Nights

Day 1: Iquitos – Amazon River
Your adventure begins in the city of Iquitos. Upon arrival, you will be met at the airport and transferred to the port to begin your journey along the majestic Amazon River.

During the trip, you will be able to observe the vastness of the rainforest and, if you are lucky, your first sightings of wildlife such as exotic birds or pink river dolphins.
Upon arrival at the lodge, you will have time to settle in and relax. In the afternoon, an introductory hike through the rainforest will be offered to familiarize yourself with the environment and learn about Amazonian flora.
Experience of the day: First contact with the rainforest and navigation on the Amazon.
Day 2: Amazon River – Monkey Island – Yagua Native Community
After breakfast, you will sail to Monkey Island, a rescue center where you can see different species of monkeys in their protected habitat.

Afterward, you will continue to a native community, where you will have a cultural encounter with the Yagua people. Here you will learn about:

Their traditional customs
Their typical clothing
The use of the blowgun for hunting
Experience of the day: authentic cultural interaction with Amazonian communities.
Day 3: Yagua Native Community – Orellana
This day continues the adventure into deeper parts of the rainforest, arriving in Orellana, a less touristy area where nature feels more pristine.

During the journey, you will be able to observe:

Exotic birds
Medicinal plants
Possible wildlife sightings
In the afternoon, activities such as artisanal fishing or guided hikes are available.
Experience of the day: exploration of the most authentic Amazon.

Day 4: Yagua Native Community – Morphosapi Butterfly Farm – Iquitos
After breakfast, you will begin your return to Iquitos. Along the way, you will visit the Morphosapi Butterfly Farm, where you can observe Amazonian butterflies in different varieties.

This place is perfect for taking photographs and learning about the biodiversity of the rainforest.

In the afternoon, you will arrive back in Iquitos and have free time to rest or explore the city.

Day 5: Iquitos – Manatee Rescue Center – Transfer to the Airport
On your last day, you will visit the Amazonian Manatee Rescue Center, a space dedicated to the protection of this endangered species.

Here you will learn about:

The rescue and rehabilitation process
The importance of conserving Amazonian wildlife
Finally, you will be transferred to the airport for your return flight.
