Rainbow Mountain Tour 1 Day

Day 1: TOUR MOUNTAIN OF COLORS 1 DAY
With this program we will visit one of the new natural attractions of Cusco “La Montaña de los 7 Colores” (Rainbow Mountain). The tour starts early in the morning, we will pass by your hotel in Cusco between 04:00 a.m. and 04:30 a.m., to travel by tourist bus for approximately two hours to the south, until reaching the district of Cusipata (3310 m.a.s.l.). Here we can enjoy a buffet breakfast; then we will continue 1 more hour until we reach the checkpoint and start the walk. The walk will last approximately 1 hour and 20 minutes, during which we will observe the typical flora and fauna of the Peruvian Andes. We will pass through beautiful wetlands and see snow-capped peaks for much of the way; Upon arrival at the Vinicunca or Montaña de Colores viewpoint (5080 masl), our guide will give us an explanation about the ecosystem and the color of the mountain. We can also take advantage of the moment to observe the Vilcanota mountain chain, take photos to remember and admire the beautiful landscape; then we will return by the same path to the point where we started the trek, where our transportation will be waiting to take us back to Cusipata. Once there, we will enjoy the buffet lunch. After lunch we will begin the trip back to the city of Cusco, arriving between 4 and 5 in the afternoon.
